Photographer or Creative Wanted For Account Manager Position

Job description

What's The Job?

The Account Manager role at Products On White Photography (POW) is about helping businesses get awesome photos for their marketing or website using our unique services.   Understanding how to utilize our studio strengths and crafting orders to fit the POW process is important to guiding customers on how best to use our photography service. You will put yourself in their shoes as a business owner selling a product online and provide advice based on your knowledge of deep photography.

The day to day job is communication-based; replying to emails, taking phone calls, conducting demos, preparing estimates, and reviewing shot lists but at its heart, the position is helping businesses think creatively about their photography needs.

All sales are inbound or with existing customers and there will be no cold outreach.  Performance is measured on sales conversion & revisions ratios.

The Perfect Candidate

We are looking for a person who has a strong photography background. You could have experience working with photographers as an art director, creative director, brand manager or producer.  You could also be a seasoned freelance photographer who’s interested in a change or a college grad with a photo degree who’s interested in exploring the business side of things.  Being an account manager for another professional photo studio is exactly what we're looking for.  The key is you understand the nuances of how a professional photoshoot works.

You must be able to discuss shoot requirements, consider different photography styles, negotiate pricing and set up a POW photo-shoot or enable customers to use our self service platform. An understanding of how the photo will be used is important. Our customers are not usually creatives, they are typically small business owners who have never worked with a photographer before. Therefore, on calls or emails, the best sales tool is reviewing the customer's website or listing and discussing how we can set up their photoshoot so their photos stand out and look better than their competition.

The perfect candidate for this position has excellent written and verbal communication with others, an entrepreneurial spirit and a good memory.  Must be comfortable around computers and is confident with learning new software easily and quickly.  You must be an independent self starter that can work without direct supervision.
